Touch

When we first arrive from our mother’s wombs during childbirth we start to cry in sadness and pain because we long for that womblike feeling of safety and security.  When we are wrapped in our parents arms we feel their warm touch and embrace that signals that we are safe, held and loved.   When we feel down, sad and alone, the warm embrace of a trusted friend or partner or the expert touch of a body worker brings us back home, back to our good heart and resets a troubled and anxious nervous system.

One of the most powerful ways to work with medicinal plants is to connect to them through our epidermal layer via salves, oils and baths.  The aromatic compounds in the planet permeate our skin and help stimulate, relax and rejuvenate us.

In this section learn to work with plants through making herbal preparations that help heal us through our skin.
